I started making cakes 17 years ago, when my son, who was turning 3 at the time wanted a specialty cake. So, I went to my local grocery store and ordered it. When it came time to actually eat the cake I was was disappointed with the taste, texture and appearance. I felt it just wasn't good enough for my little boy and decided to bake my childrens cakes from that day forward. Today, I operate a business called Party Cakes and my skills have grown so much over the years I went from a cake decorator to a cake artist. I never knew that a person could take a piece of cake and turn it into a work of art. Literally my cake is my canvas. My passion for cake is off the charts and I am always striving to learn new techniques to keep up with ever changing trends. Party Cakes studio is located in Dawsonville and is by appointment only. All of Party Cakes desserts are made from scratch including icings. I never bake cakes in advance and freeze them. I offer free consultation/tastings to all perspective brides and works diligently to come up with the perfect cake that will meet any budget. Party Cakes specialty is extreme cakes and wedding cakes.
