Business DescriptionCakes By Shara is where Dream Cakes are made. We listen to everything you have to say concerning taste preferences, flavors, and more. Not only do our cakes look good, they taste fantastic. Shara has been baking and creating culinary delights since the tender age of five when she baked her first cookies with a dear friend's mom. From there she taught herself to make many styles of cakes, cookies, cupcakes, truffles, cheesecakes and more. Shara has been classically trained at the Opryland Culinary Institute and graduated with a culinary degree in 1995. After having the basics in culinary arts, and art classes in high school, and college, the natural progression was to combine the two and design cakes. We strive to stay on top of the latest trends in cake and fashion. Shara has attended classes/seminars with some of the great cake artists of our time. One noted chef would be sugar artist Nickolas Lodge. Cakes are a canvas waiting to come to life with the brush of an artists hand, Shara uses many mediums, from fondant, painting, airbrush, sugar flowers, handmade sugar flowers, computer imaging, and hand made sugarpaste sculptures/models.
