That is the commitment that makes Dish stand apart from other caterers. When I meet with clients I have a few bits of advice—Begin by thinking about what you love to eat. Think about foods or food related experiences that have special significance for you both. Your wedding is an opportunity to share something intimate with your guests, and we'll work together to design the perfect menu and create a stellar event—with a sense of you as a couple, the place, and the season. And with our extensive experience in planning weddings, we help soothe some of the tensions and anxieties, so that you can concentrate on more important things, like life long commitment.
Dish offers a fresh style of catering that features local, seasonal produce and on-site cooking—in essence we are a restaurant without walls. Menus are designed specifically for the season, venue and the client's taste. Our creativity insures not only amazing food, but that we continue to grow without compromising our passion.
Dish is a proud member of The Vermont Fresh Network and follows the guidelines of the Slow Food movement. We proudly support local, sustainable agriculture by purchasing directly from local farmers whenever possible. Our alliances with independently owned and operated businesses, from bakeries and farms, to coffee roasters and cheese makers, ensure we have the best local products available. Our fiscal goal is to leave as much of our revenue within our community as possible. Our green goal is to cook using ingredients as close to the heart of our venue as possible. Living nestled amongst some of Vermont's finest farms makes the 100-mile menu one of our favorite challenges in season.
We believe food is an important part of every celebration. Our aim is to create a unique menu for each client and bring our high standards for food into the community for parties, weddings, and other special events. Most importantly, planning an event with a client builds a bond between us. By designing the perfect menu, creating imaginative new ways to entertain, coordinating all the details, then having it culminate in an occasion to cherish, be it large and glamorous or small and intimate. They all leave an impression that we remember. We take pride in creating foods for people and businesses that inspire us.
