BIG FUN Disc Jockeys

BIG FUN Disc Jockeys is a mobile disc jockey (DJ) service. We play music and provide “night club” style lighting at weddings, private parties, corporate functions, schools, colleges, and community events. We also provide emcee services, amplified audio systems for corporate events, sound support and microphones for wedding ceremonies, and other peripheral audio and video needs related to the above.

Our primary market is the Bay Area of Northern California, but we have played events in Napa, Yosemite, San Diego, and even in the Bahamas. We currently play about 200 events per year.

Our lights are a defining aspect of how we differ from other disc jockey vendors. Our lights are not an extra charge. We include them in our base rate because we see over and over again how they make events more memorable.

We don’t hire disc jockeys that have over-the-top personalities. It is our belief that that focus of a party should be on the couple, the guests, the birthday boy/girl, or the theme. We don’t spend a lot of time on the microphone beyond what it takes to effectively emcee the event. Of course, when asked, we can step into a more animated role, but this is not the usually the preference of most of our customers.

Our default equipment setup is more powerful and of higher quality than most other DJ companies. We don’t use self-powered, small plastic speakers for our parties, but instead large, high power, wood-cabinet speakers with external amplification. We utilize premium wireless microphones for speeches and toasts. Our music collection is primarily from CD and uncompressed digital files, not Internet downloads of low quality MP3s.
