Ellie from A New Twist did my hair and make up for my wedding on the beach at the Hotel Del Coronado last summer. I cannot say enough about the quality of her work and how efficiently she was able to accomodate everyone. We had a mother of the groom who hates hair and make up, but was so pleasantly suprised by the great job she did that she was beaming and baeutiful all night long! I had seven bridesmaids and about half of them did not commit ahead of time to getting their hair/make up done. When they saw what a job Ellie and her team did, they all decided they wanted both hair and make up done and Ellie was able to accomodate ALL of them on the spot with the hair style and make up they envisioned. In addition, she made everyone feel so comfortable that she just blended in with everyone which made things very enjoyable. As for my hair and make up, I could not ask for anything more. I wanted to look my best, but look like myself and not be over done for a beach wedding. I could not have asked for anything to be different. I received so many compliments and requests from future brides regarding my hair and make up. Throughout my planning, Ellie always guaranteed me she would have plenty of time for everything and was pro-active about knowing what the timeline for being in a dress for photos, etc. was. She made me feel very, very comfortable. As a testament to the professionalism and commitment of a New Twist, Ellie had a family emergency the night before my wedding and was in the ICU at a local hospital until an hour before she arrived for my wedding. In all honesty, I put family before anything else and would have udnerstood if she could not have made it the day of my wedding (I would have had to improvise of course), but Ellie showed up and made my "big day" feel like her top priority despite her own, personal events. In follow conversations with her, she has told me she would never leave a bride without her hair and make up done on their wedding day for any reason under her control, and I believe it! I know there are plenty of people who would not do the same for a stranger...

I found Ellie from A New Twist 4 U from bridalinsider.com based on the stellar reviews . When I first met up with her for a trial, she was really friendly and professional. What I love about Ellie is that she's always cheerful. And she immediately become my regular hair stylist as well. Ellie did hair and makeup for me, my mom and my 5 bridesmaid son the day of my wedding. Her pricing is reasonable and affordable. She did an amazing job. I highly recommend Ellie. She was my favorite vendor!
