Great wedding band
The Big Time is a fantastic band! My daughter, her dad and I couldn't have been more pleased and I would use them again without hesitation. Mike Lucas, the manager, was easy to work with and honored our requests for music. There were a couple of songs on their play list that they normally include that I didn't care for, so they didn't play them. Their policy of learning one new song without an extra charge was much appreciated as my daughter's choice of father/daughter dance was not a song The Big Time knew. When they played it, you would've never known they hadn't been playing it for years. Also, my daughter gave Mike a list of current songs she wanted to have played during the breaks and he completely took care of it. One of the best things about this band is that they played soft dinner music while the meal was served so that we could actually all talk. Having been to several weddings that played at "dance" volume during dinner, I really appreciate that The Big Time recognizes the importance of an appropriate volume at this time. Then, after dinner, the band switched to party mode and the dance floor was packed the entire evening! They played "The Eyes of Texas" at my request since the bride and groom both are UT grads and that was certainly a hit. I was apprehensive that everything would go smoothly with the band since the music is such a big part of a reception. Having used them, I now know that with The Big Time's professionalism, great musicians and willingness to please the customer, I had nothing to worry about. At the end of the evening, my daughter told Mike, "I don't want y'all to stop playing; I wish we could just keep on dancing!" I think that comment from the bride says it best when it comes to how we felt about The Big Time. |
