Here is a little bit of information about our band!

We are a group of ex-show (Atlantic City / Las Vegas) performers who have worked professionally for an average of over twenty years each before coming off of the road to marry and have families. I got the group together in 1999 when I moved to Eastern PA from New York. I looked around for the best musicians in the area and hooked up with players from Reading, Philly, Carlisle, Lancaster and Allentown in order to have a group of the very best artists I could find. We book a great many corporate events and private parties for people who want something special, professional and more versatile than ‘local’ groups provide.

If you go to our website and click on the word ‘Demos’ at the top of the home page, you can hear the band online. I can also mail you a CD Demo of the band if you prefer. Our complete songlist is also available for viewing on our website. We will be happy to send our full song list (as an Adobe Acrobat document) so that you can look over our extensive repertoire.

For maximum versatility, we can vary the size of the band to suit your venue and the number of people in attendance as well as your musical tastes (dance, rock, oldies, swing, Latin, jazz, etc.) so I would be happy to discuss what will work best for your event over the phone, by email or in person. The size of the band can vary from a trio to sextet and prices vary accordingly. My trio usually consists of myself (keyboards, saxophones and vocals), a female singer who plays light percussion and a guitarist who sings. To that I'll add a drummer, a Latin percussionist or a trumpet/flugelhorn player (wonderful for people who like jazz/smooth jazz and the energy of a live horn section).

Music, more than any other single thing, is what makes an event FEEL like a party, and we know how to make the party come alive by producing fresh arrangements of the very best and most popular dance tunes of the last 50 years. We perform even oldies and swing as though the tunes just hit the radio this month because we love this music as much as our audience does. When the guests see how much fun the band is having, they just have to join in, and fun is what makes a reception something to remember!

You will be able to see the wide variety of musical styles that we can cover from a glance at the more than 750 tunes on our song list. Most bands have one or two kinds of music that they perform best and are comfortable with. Our tremendous combined experience allows us to play anything from jazz (perfect for the cocktail hour) to classic rock and roll, oldies, country, island, disco, Motown, funk and other high-energy dance music and move from one style to another all evening long while keeping the overall sound and volume consistent and under control. We can play music that everyone can dance to and still keep the older folks happy with classic tunes from the 40's and 50's. We keep a copy of our ‘Request List’ with us at all times and are happy to take requests from any of the guests so that we can play everyone’s favorites.

We do a great many weddings and we can emcee for your guests and provide a wireless 'toast' mic for whoever may need it. In addition, we will be happy to learn one 'special song' for your first dance or whenever you may like it played. I will need at least one month's notice before the reception date to have the song ready for your wedding, and if it is not a well-known tune I may need a recording or sheet music from you...

Our sound system is state-of-the-art and we can sound rich and full while keeping the volume where it needs to be for your guests to talk with each other.

One special note: Including setup time (before the guests are in the room) and teardown, the band will typically be working for 7 hours or more (not counting the drive) for a wedding reception, and we will need something to eat in order to provide our very best performance for you and your guests. While an entrée is always welcome, we will be fine with a little table off somewhere out of the way with soft drinks and any kind of warm meal.

There's quite a lot we can do to customize our music and presentation for your event, and I hope that I've given you some information to work with in this description, but I would be very happy discuss your own reception in person or answer any specific questions you may have over the phone.
