Business DescriptionI am a professional photographer and visual artist who enjoys and thrives on challenge. I approach each project whether personal or commissioned with passion and intensity. I strive to excel and push the creative boundaries of my craft with each new assignment. I have been a photographer for over 32 years! Serving New Mexico since 1980. I have photographed weddings and events throughout the state and around the world. I am a visual communicator who draws inspiration from the world around me; I find inspiration in art, music, great words, people, and nature. My unique eye for composition, technical expertise, passion, creativity, abandonment of rules and can do attitudes, as well as my ability manage complex productions make me a perfect candidate for your next creative project. I am especially good with people, putting them at ease in front of the camera, evoking the necessary emotions, and capturing their true essence. My extensive experience in graphic design, computer operations, programming and mastery of digital tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and MS Publisher give me the ability to deliver images that work. Photographing a wedding is serious business, but also needs to be serious fun! Everyone has heard nightmare stories of the "Photographer from Hell" who turned the formal photos into an endurance contest, or never let the bride and groom have a free minute to enjoy their own reception. That isn't me!! I have found that clients prefer spontaneous, authentic photos that reflect the emotion of the moment. My job is not only to take great pictures of your wedding day, but to do so in a way that helps to maximize your enjoyment of your day. I work hard to make those necessary formal photos a FUN experience! And when it comes to candid’s, I like to stalk unobtrusively in the background, constantly watching for those pictures that will best capture the spirit and the joy of your special day. I want to treat every couple as friends who have done me the honor of allowing me to record their wedding day for them. As a friend I remind you to breathe, relax and (most of all) have fun! Here is what The Knot printed in an interview with me recently: "For over three decades I have been successfully mastering the art of wedding photojournalism. While staying 'unseen' throughout the wedding day, my main goal is to capture and preserve a story of romance, beauty, emotion, and joy." Mark Wayne's uplifting energy, sense of humor, romantic and fun-loving personality, makes him a favorite among brides to be. His wedding photographs capture the essence of the human spirit and evoke emotional moments of the union. He describes his photography style as a blend of photojournalism and classical portraiture. Although eighty per cent of the wedding images he creates are candid in nature, he has an ever-present awareness of classical lighting and composition that make his photographs distinctive. One of the key elements in producing good photographs is good listening. "In my interviews with couples, I try to get a sense of their outlook on life and the people who are important to them and why. By so doing, you can produce photographs that tell a visual story about them and those whom they love." I am not a wedding factory, and do not churn out multiple wedding assignments. It has never been my goal to shoot as many weddings as possible on a given weekend. When you hire me you will know who is taking your photographs. You will be given special consideration and personal attention and will receive the benefit of my many years of experience. offer exceptional service at a moderate price. I strive to keep my costs down by using electronic portfolios, website and emails. This is how I can provide you the best price, image quality and flexibility possible. Please look closely at my website, I have all package pricing and additional information posted there. Be sure to take a look at the information & wedding pricing pages. My shooting style can be described as a blend of classic wedding portraiture and photojournalistic reporting. I strive for the “un-conventional” or rather “non-traditional” type angles or poses… many times the candid, non-posed photographs tend to better capture the true personality of the person or group. |
