Photography is my passion

My name is Kathy L. Phy. Photographs are treasures. I value my photographs more than almost anything else in my home, other than my children. Long ago, I became the unofficial family archivist, and I have boxes and boxes of photographs dating back to the early century, chronicling the story of my family through our unique history. These long-dead relatives that I will never know are still alive to me, and still speak to me, when I take the time to look and listen. A photograph preserves time for the ages. Documenting the way our world looks, the way my life looks, the way your life looks, is the fire behind my passion.

Wedding photography is my profession

I am thrilled and blessed to have found a way to make my passion photography my livelihood. I approach every wedding I do with the instilled notion that I am preserving a unique and important day in your family's history, not only for you, my client, but also for the generations to come. It is that important to me! I have been shooting weddings for almost 15 years now, starting in college in my film days, and making the transition to digital about 6 years ago. Louisville, Kentucky is my home

I am based in Louisville, KY, and love the Derby City dearly. However, I do love to travel! In addition to my Louisville weddings, I frequently do weddings in the greater region, including Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Lexington, Elizabethtown, and beyond. Also, I am very excited about a recent prospect and opportunity to start shooting in New Orleans.
