Niki J. Desautels is a northwest freelance photographer with a background in photojournalism. She is an award-winning photographer and has worked on the staff of newspapers in California, Pennsylvania, and throughout Washington State, including the Bellingham Herald, and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

As a member of NPPA (the National Press Photographers Association) and the WPJA (the wedding photojournalist association) Niki adheres to the strict rules and ethics of a documentary photographer, capturing events candidly and unobtrusively.

Comfortable working in the studio and on-location, Niki is experienced in portraits, products, fashion, and sports photography. In addition, she uses her photojournalism style to cover events such as weddings, and to work on a variety of documentary projects.

Niki is available for editorial, corporate, and individual clients throughout the Northwest.

NJD Photography believes that a wedding is all about the moments, whenever and wherever they occur, so our prices are not based on an hourly scale. We will be there for your wedding day, so that you will remember it.

All packages include full-day coverage of the wedding, from the preparations to the final toasts, an online gallery of the wedding pictures that can be shared with friends and family, plus a CD of your wedding images so that you will have them forever. You get the edits and all the originals on an archival disc. The higher end packages include an engagement photo shoot, two photographers (instead of just one) for full-day wedding coverage, and a beautifully designed hardcover photo book or album. All packages can be customized.
