Firefly Studios Wedding Photography

am Heather Asteriou, owner and photographer of Firefly Studios. I have been a professional photographer since 2002, a graphic designer since 2002, and an artist since 1997. Having experienced a myriad of different vocations in the art world, I cant tell you that nothing brings me more joy than photography. There is something magical about capturing moments in time with a photograph and creating art from a beautiful event. I specialize in artistic and photo-journalistic approaches to my work, and document your event through moments as they unfold naturally throughout your wedding, not through an abundance of posed or contrived snapshots. Wedding photography should be both beautiful, and evocative of your actual day. Some facts about me:

I have my BFA from the University of Michigan in fine art, photography, and graphic design. I am very outgoing. I bet I can get you to laugh within the first 10 minutes of meeting me. I love gardening. I could spend hours outside planting and creating beautiful spaces if I could. I am an animal lover, and have two of the cutest cats out there. I love cooking, but even more, I love the visual beauty of preparing food. I try to see art in everything, and to look at everyday objects and events from a new and unusual point of view. I can't get enough of t.v. shows like Project Runway, Glee and 30 Rock.

AVAILABILITY AND TRAVEL

While most of my work occurs within the Twin Cities, I am available for travel within and outside the US. I am available 7 days a week as scheduling permits.

Pricing

Firefly Studios doesn't charge per hour like most photographers. This is your big day and you deserve full coverage, no matter the price point.

My packages are customizable to fit your needs and start at $1,000.

Proofing

Photos are a record of your life, your big moments. We feel that you should be able to have as many beautiful moments as possible. Therefore, with all packages, we provide you with a free DVD of all full-size images from your day.

Editing

With over 5 years experience with photo-editing, I take great pride in making your photos as beautiful as possible. I offer free image enhancement, retouching, and stylizing with all packages.

Products

Firefly studios offers products such as signature boards, custom album design, prints, and companion books. These can be added to any package for an additional cost.
