After graduating college from Whitworth University with a degree in Communications and English Writing, I decided to work at what I most enjoyed--photography. I began free-lancing. Over 5 years, I have photographed approximately 60 Weddings. My first 10 weddings, I worked as a second shooter to learn the business. I also shoot all of the sports for Willamette University & Western Oregon University. Sports are a great way to keep my shooting eye fast for weddings and I also have some commercial photography clients that I work with during the week: Bellagios Pizza, Partnership for Safety & Justice, Juntos Podemos, Glamorous Groceries, etc.

Since I am not solely a wedding photographer, I bring a range of creativity and people skills developed from all of the venues I work. I have four professional level Nikon cameras, three flashes, an array of professional level lenses (read: fast) and usually an assistant to help me. I enjoy working weddings for all types of people as long as they are kind. I am good with those who might be a bit camera shy, but like to have fun. I have a gentle demeanor and try to plan ahead with my brides so that we are working from a schedule. I am flexible on deviating from the schedule, but feel it is important to have a plan for your day in order to avoid stress for you!

I prefer meeting face to face to interview for weddings because it is easiest to answer questions and figure out if we can work together once we've had a chance to meet. Call me if you'd like to set something up!
