After a long string of disappointing hours spent searching for the right wedding venue, Nick and I had given up hope of finding anything in-state. But late one night, just before booking our flight down to California to check out what "wine country" had to offer, we came across Farm Kitchen's webiste and knew we had to see it in person. The instant we arrived, our decision was made! From the beautiful, sprawling property, to the affable owners, Farm Kitchen had everything that we were looking for in a venue and then some. There was room enough to comfortably accomodate our 150 guests; we were able to have the ceremony, cocktails and reception all in different locations outside; there were easily accessible restrooms; there was plenty of on-site parking (that did not look tacky); and most importantly, we both felt like we were at home! We are so thankful that we stumbled upon Farm Kitchen's website that evening, and are confident that there would have been no better place to hold our wedding!

We loved having our summer wedding ceremony and reception at Farm Kitchen! This 18-acre organic farm has beautiful grounds, fantastic facilities inside a renovated red barn, and great connections to the local community and wedding vendors. It was wonderful (and stress-free) working with owners Hollis and Anne and staying in the guest house with our bridal party. We felt great supporting this local business and our guests enjoyed the romantic atmosphere and out-of-the-city location (downtown Poulsbo is ~5 miles away with shops, restaurants, B&Bs, and hotels). Farm Kitchen earned my highest recommendation.

Brian and I knew the moment we drove up to the Farm Kitchen for one of their wonderfully yummy First Saturday breakfasts that this was the place we wanted to get married. After breakfast we introduced ourselves to Anne and she showed us around a bit and told us about the services they offered and what the deposit would be, etc. We said we were interested, put a date reservation down and sent the deposit in that week! Fast forward to the wedding day. We had aprox. 85% of our guests come in from out of state...East and West Coast, North and South and even Germany so location and food were key to us! We had Herban Feast for our caterer (they were highly recommended by Anne and Hollis) and I can tell you that we still - 3 years later - get compliments on our caterer! We even have a dear friend who got married in Washington, DC the following year and he told us at his own wedding that our wedding at FK was the most beautiful wedding he'd ever been too. "The food, the venue, everything was perfect he said...and you had the BEST wedding weather too!" This was a similar comment from all who attended. Anne and Hollis were a dream to work with; accommodating, supportive, responsive, kind, and FUN! The flowers and lavender were stunning in bloom, the simple, rustic setting...hardwood floors, soothing color scheme, wonderful staff...what more could you ask for your wedding? We also took advantage of the Guest House they have on site..I have a large family so having my parents there on site for the whole weekend was exactly what I needed. It was big enough for all of the bridal party to get ready the day of as well. We also had a rehearsal bbq the evening before at the Guest House. There is even a badmitton net if you so desire! :) It was the most perfect day and being at the Farm Kitchen made it even more so!

We knew from the first moment we stepped onto the grounds, that Farm Kitchen was the venue for us. In addition to beautiful gardens (vegetable, floral and an orchard), the farmhouse and it's facilities are so tasteful, and comfortable. We really loved the warm colors, beautiful hardwood floors and the general "flow" of the place. Anne and Hollis are also extremely gracious and easy to work with. We loved how flexible the "day of schedule" was, that we could add hours onto our event, we could hire live music and play it to be heard outside until 11pm as well. My family is from Colorado, and they are used to beautiful outdoor venues for parties, weddings etc, and they were really impressed with Farm Kitchen. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and having it at Farm Kitchen certainly contributed to that feeling!!!
