As father of the bride, and co-payer (with my wife) of the bill, I've paid close attention to this. As a graduate of a film program (got an MFA at NYU), and at one time a professional film director, my attention was all the closer! We looked at many videographers' demos, and spoke to the best of them, before choosing Vital Memories. Vital Memories' work for us was simply superb. Jim Greene is a highly skilled cameraperson/editor/director. His equipment is top rate (HD cameras, sophisticated editing hardware and software), his assistants are thoroughly professional, and his camera work varies from excellent to breath-taking. He was totally responsive to my daughter's and son-in-laws wishes (e.g., "Could each of us talk to the camera for a minute just before the ceremony?" and the like). Best of all, and not surprisingly, the resulting videos we've received are sublime -- not just a linear recording of events, one after another; far more creative than that, capturing the real feelings of the day. Before the wedding, we considered not having a video; we supposed that wedding photos would be enough. Now that we have the result, which captures the wedding ceremony and reception as living (not static) moments, we thank our lucky stars that we did make a video, and that we chose Vital Memories to make it.
